DBC Takes Part in Internship Scheme with York St. John University

By Amy Power on September 10th, 2019

DBC has recently hired a new employee in the form of an intern from York St John University. Amy Power, who took part in the university’s summer internship program will be working with Jackie Black at Hiscox Business Club. The Business Club provides office space, support and a working community to local businesses in the York area.

The collaboration between the university and Hiscox is a fantastic opportunity for both students and members of the business club. It offers students the chance to engage effectively with their chosen career whilst earning a training allowance – something internships aren’t well known for.

For roughly 12 weeks, Amy will be working as a digital marketing intern for DBC. This is beneficial for Jackie, who hopes to boost her social media presence and grow her business clientele. Amy hopes to improve her writing, communication and marketing skills through the internship, and both look forward to what the next few months may bring.
