Earlier this week I spent the morning with a group of digital champions: mentors with a wealth of experience who have volunteered their time and support to SMEs in the Leeds City region. This is a very worth-while initiative set up by The Digital Knowledge Exchange (part of Digital Enterprise) which will run for the next two years. So, if you are a small business owner who is looking for expertise, advice and support to deploy digital solutions to help your business grow, you can apply to have a digital audit carried out by Mel Coupland at the Exchange and she will recommend ways in which the programme can offer you help. She will put you in touch with the most appropriate mentor who will, in turn, arrange one-to-one mentoring on the phone or face-to-face.
There are also a range of practical workshops being scheduled throughout the coming year which are free to attend. In addition, each eligible business is allocated 12 hours of individual support tailored to their needs.
The following link will take you to the Digital Knowledge Exchange section of the Digital Enterprise website where you can find out more about how to access this support:
As I have mentioned in a previous post, I too have volunteered my time as a mentor in this initiative and am really looking forward to working with some small business owners in the region.
